Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is a good relationship. Falling in love is the easy part. Staying married or in a committed relationship requires healthy relationship skills.
Post PAIRS is a 3 hour monthly group for couples and singles who have completed a PAIRS course. Having learned the tools, couples may feel that they need extra practice with the support of a PAIRS leader and other PAIRS participants.
The Post PAIRS group begins with sharing from individuals about what they wish to work on for the evening. The PAIRS leader suggests a tool for the issue and later moves from couple to couple assisting each with their issue. The evening ends with sharing about how issues were resolved-resulting in group learning.
The Post PAIRS group, started in 1995, has continued with various couples joining, graduating and occasionally re-joining for a time. Couples report that it’s easier to bring up a hard issue in the safety of the Center and a supportive group environment. The Post PAIRS group is currently being led by Lynn Turner, PHD, LCSW
This three session series is offered for those who want to enhance the skills learned during any of the PAIRS courses.
